Few things in human life can equal the physical, spiritual, and healthful value of walking.

Cates Hill has been designed around trails. Some are already in place and are being enjoyed. Others are still on paper, but coming. In a few years Cates Hill will be one of the most beautiful places to walk and hike on Bowen Island.

The Cates Hill trail network connects to other island trails. For example, from one of the Cates Hill trails you can walk through Crippen Park and along the waterfront. Then from the lagoon you can continue along the salmon ladder to the waterfalls and then to the hatchery. You can continue around Killarney Lake, and even up to Honeymoon Lake. You can always save a hike to the top of Mount Gardner, the highest point on Bowen Island, for another visit!
